Senga is a small, family-owned farmer/producer who has historically made Mostarda di Frutta to serve in their Agriturismo (farm) restaurant. Mostarda is now the family's primary focus, with most of the farm's produce being seasonally preserved using this traditional method. Mostarda di frutta, or “mustard fruits”, are a Northern Italian preserve made of fruit or vegetables poached in a mustard-infused syrup. They are a classic accompaniment to Northern Italian cheese and cured meats such as Parmigiano Reggiano, Mortadella and Proscuitto. They are also used alongside Bollito Misto and are commonly used as an ingredient in ravioli fillings, particularly pumpkin. Senga’s Mostarda di Frutta are special because they are; + Traditional Mantovan style with single varietal fresh produce + Fruits and vegetables grown on their farm Seasonally hand-made throughout the year in small batches following harvest. + No artificial colours, preservatives or thickening agents are used. Mostarda Pera (Pear), Mostarda Fichi (Fig), Mostarda Fragola (Strawberry), Mostarda Uva (Grape), Mostarda Zucca (Pumpkin)
